So I know I’m not the normal fashion/beauty blogger, but I figured it was nice to change things up for a kick.
I’m rolling in all things summer, It’s June and I can’t wait to get out school and sit by the pool. I’m an Ohio girl so, I know I can never keep up the beach girl look like someone in a coastal area, but still, it’s nice to pretend. So after spending the beautiful Memorial Day weekend at the pool, I decided to try to perfect the sea salt hair spray. I have to say, it turned out pretty nice.
So here’s my recipe for the perfect sea salt spray. In a clean spray bottle (easiest just to grab one at the dollar store or walmart). Add the following:
8oz of water
1 tbsp on sea salt (I use the grind kind and grind it in a bowl then pour it in the bottle)
1/2 tsp of coconut scented conditioner (the smell is great and it helps keep your hair from being too dry and straw-like
a squirt of hair gel
**I also add a bit of lemon juice, to help add just a bit of sun bleach over time. That way you really have that been at the beach hair look.
Be sure to shake it up before every use. There you go, my tips and tricks for the back from the beach wave. Add a little self-tanner and you can convince anyone you too were in Hilton Head for the weekend.
